Framingham High School received a visit from President Clinton in 1994 to address a bill that would help improve the nations schools. The high school formerly divided into Framingham North High School and Framingham South High School was merged in 1991. The town has more than 10 elementary schools and two middle schools, Fuller and Walsh. Framingham's alternative high schools include Keefe Technical High School and Marian (Catholic) High School.
There are a lot of things to do in Framingham. If you like to swim, there are several beaches and also a YMCA. Callahan State Park, with free admission, is great for walking and cross-country skiing in the winter. The Garden in the Woods is a 45-acre botanical garden, which opens in June every year.
