The town of Southborough is located 25 miles west of Boston and 15 miles east of Worcester in eastern Worcester County. With nearly 25% of the town covered by the Sudbury Reservoir, Southborough has retained a low-density rural/suburban character.

Located in the heart of New England at its crossroads, Route 9, the Massachussetts Turnpike, and Interstate 495, Southborough has been found to be a great place to live and and easy place to commute from be it Worcester or Boston or anyplace in between.

Adding to the quiet rural charm of Southborough are numerous winding scenic roads, often shared with bikers, hikers, and horses. The village center has seen minimal change over the last century and the town wants to keep it that way. The town provides residents with a wide range of services that are aided by considerable involvement in church, school and government activity, all creating a small town quality of life within the Boston Metropolitan region.

Although there are two prestigious private boarding schools in Southborough, the town is well known for its excellent public school system. Most people that move to Southborough do so because of the schools and the location.
